Description
When a threat strikes and you must make an activation assessment, will you feel confident in your decision? Assess, Align and Activate for Preparedness (A3P) Digital is a guided individual game in which players explore their own decision-making patterns under uncertainty, sharpening skills in situational awareness. This game is also available in a real-time, multiplayer format to allow distributed teams to play together. Multiple people can play simultaneously and compare and discuss their initial individual threat assessments.

Game Details
Players start with a tutorial on how to use the digital game board and card deck. The game board will visually capture their assessment of data provided in the game. Players learn about a threat scenario and then go through a deck of cards with additional information in situation reports. After reading each card, players mark their assessment of that data on their board.
At the end of the round, a player selects a hypothesis, assessing the threat based on the data they have and indicating their confidence level in their assessment. Players may then see how past players have assessed the threat through an online dashboard.
For the multiplayer version, players can see how other players in their session assessed the threat, and move into an activation discussion. The facilitator will have facilitator privileges in the digital game platform to allow them to see what players are doing and guide them through the game. Facilitators will also receive support and training.
Technical Note: The CAPTRS digital game platform does not allow for live discussion or video conferencing. We recommend using a group meeting platform, with a facilitator. Each player can be on the CAPTRS digital game platform while on the video call.
Completion Time: 1 for solo play; up to 6 individuals may play the game simultaneously for an integrated group experience- Number of Players: 15-20 minutes for individuals; 1-2 hours for multiplayer version
